How to Wash Digitally Printed Carpets

Digitally printed carpets should be washed carefully to avoid damaging the patterns and colors. Here are some points to keep in mind:

1. Check the label instructions.

• If the label says "machine washable," follow the specified temperature and washing instructions.

2. Suitable Size and Weight for the Machine

• Your rug must be suitable for the washing machine's capacity. It should not get stuck in the drum, otherwise you could damage both the machine and the rug.

3. Use cold or lukewarm water.

• For most digitally printed carpets , 30°C or cool water is ideal. Higher temperatures can cause the print to deteriorate.

4. Select the Delicate Wash Program.

• Use the delicate (gentle) wash cycle in your washing machine. This will prevent damage to the carpet.

5. Use a mild detergent.

• Choose liquid detergents that don't contain harsh chemicals and preserve colors. Detergents containing bleach or harsh chemicals can damage the print.

6. Do not wring.

• Absolutely do not wring the rug out, as this can distort its shape or damage the print.

7. Drying Process

• Digitally printed carpets should not be dried in a tumble dryer.
• Lay the rug flat to dry in a shaded area, away from direct sunlight.

8. Washing Frequency

• Digitally printed carpets are not suitable for frequent cleaning. If necessary, you can wipe them with a slightly damp cloth.
